Containers are full customizable. Standard options include:
Breather Valves

Depending upon the application, a container may use a breather valve to allow for pressure compensation in the container. ProWall™ has a variety of sizes and styles of breather valves. The valve shown on this page is typical of a standard unit. Generally, we install a breather valve in one side of a container. The valve automatically opens to equalize pressure whenever a pressure differential greater than 0.25 psi is present. The valve may also be manually actuated by depressing its center button. The valve will permit pressure and vacuum relief any time the pressure differential between ambient conditions and the inside of the container exceeds 1.0 psid. The valve selected may be set at other differentials as low as .25 psid and as high as 5.0 psid. This particular valve, the AGM TA770-10-10R, meets the requirements of SAE AS26860 and SAE AS27166, "Valve:Pressure Equalizing, Gaseous Products" (both of which replace cancelled Military Specification MIL_V-27166). This valve meets the requirements of SAE Specification AS27166, Par.3.6.3.1 for containers up to 208 cubic feet of unoccupied space, either packed or empty. Functionally, this valve allows pressures to equalize during ascending and descending phases of flight. It also equalizes pressures that build up due to significant temperature changes in the storage mode. |
Desiccant Baskets
![]() click to enlarge | Desiccant baskets control any moisture captured by the container before it is sealed. The size of the desiccant basket is determined by container volume and mission. |
Drain plugs and valves
![]() click to enlarge | Drain plugs or valves may be built into containers to aid in cleaning. Drains can range from a simple threaded and gasketed hex plug to a self-draining flapper valve. |
Drawbars & Clevis hitches

Electronics: RFI container identification and tracking
![]() click to enlarge | ProWall™ containers are ideally suited for RFID tag identification. These tags can be molded in or attached later with specially designed features formed in the containers. The significant advantage of all types of RFID systems is the non-contact, non-line-of-sight nature of the technology. Tags can be read through a variety of substances such as snow, fog, ice, paint, crusted grime, and other visually and environmentally challenging conditions, where barcodes or other optically read technologies would be useless. RFID creates an automatic way to collect information about a product, place, time or transaction --- quickly, easily and without human error.
RFID uses a transponder (commonly called an RF tag) that is electronically programmed with unique information. This data can then be read from a distance over radio waves. These tags can also be read-write, meaning data can be read from and written to the tag, e.g. production information can be updated on a tag as it progresses down the assembly line. RFID systems consist of a number of components including tags, handheld or stationary readers, data input units and system software. The tags are the backbone of the technology and come in all shapes, sizes and read ranges, including thin and flexible "smart labels" which can be laminated between paper or plastic. RFID is more than just an ID code. It can be used as a data carrier, with information being written to and updated on the tag, on the fly. RFID has been applied to hundreds of applications in dozens of key industries. Today, we see RFID used for vehicle and personnel access control, automotive anti-theft systems, product and asset tracking and supply chain automation. |
Fasteners for tie-downs
![]() click to enlarge | Embedded, flush-mounted fasteners, for both internal and external tie-downs, are available for all ProWall containers. By designing embedded fasteners into the material of the container, ProWall prevents damage to container loads and external damage to the container itself. |
Hatch doors
![]() click to enlarge ![]() click to enlarge | Hatch doors with embedded, flush-mounted fasteners, latches and locks, can be customized for your container. |
Interchangeable walls
![]() | Interchangeable walls of different heights are available for some ProWall container models. When the customer requires a larger or smaller container, these walls can be easily changed with no tools reqired. Other uses for interchangeable walls include in-flight removable side walls and ramps. Extra walls can be stored inside these containers when not in use. |
Jacks

Latches
![]() click to enlarge | Many different latching systems are available, depending upon your container's application. All latches are recessed or flush with the profile of the container, preventing damage during movement. One of our most popular latching systems, pictured here, is stainless steel with spring-assisted, hand-operated latches. In a layout typical for this system, a container would have 10 latches, with each latch made of two parts that are each installed on the container. When the top half of the container is placed on the bottom half, the ten pairs of latches meet and close to secure the two halves of the container together and to engage the seal. |
Marking and labeling
![]() click to enlarge | ProWall™ offers many ways to identify your containers, from molded-in embossed characters, to printed information plaques, to decals and standard painted logos. |
Wheels
![]() click to enlarge | Several ProWall™ container models can be ordered with integral wheels. These options range from small flip-down wheel assemblies that aid in container movement, to full-size stowable pneumatic road wheels that convert containers into trailers ready for towing. | |
