ENGINEERING Part Design & Analysis
Good composite part design requires the collaboration of professionals knowledgeable in materials, stress, inspection, process, tooling and testing. Intec's multidisciplinary, full service approach to composites design gives our engineers a unique perspective to develop the best design for our clients.
Intec's composite design and structural analysis team uses state-of-the-art CAD tools to produce solid models to specify lay-up and material details and evaluate interferences and interactions of assemblies.
Our experience with composite materials, tooling and process interactions allows our engineers to design parts and assemblies that achieve the best balance of material performance and manufacturability for a given design and production rate requirement.
Stress analysis is performed using FEM tools on both global configurations and local part details. Static stress, motion, vibration, durability, pressure, environment, fracture resistance, and damage tolerance may all be considered in a structural review. The goal is a design that considers real-world process variation in the selection of design details such as materials, location, orientation, and inspection.
