MANUFACTURING Production Parts and Assemblies
Intec produces parts and assemblies for the aerospace, marine and ground transportation industries.
Production parts are either "built to print" or our Process Design Center works with you to determine the best process, tooling, material, and structural approach to meet production rate and performance criteria.
Our Engineering manufacturing support team starts with the production rate required, and identifies candidate materials and processes: injection molding, thermal forming, press, vacuum oven, out-of-oven, and autoclave. The design center team then considers tooling and part design approaches that best optimize cost, performance and quality. Intec's engineering team's experience with novel tooling, process and design approaches combined with composite materials knowledge assures our clients get superior products for the lowest cost.
Intec's Manufacturing and Prototyping team works with Engineering during the design phase to develop the most efficient tooling for the application. Whether the tooling is made from aluminum, Invar, graphite or fiberglass, Intec can do the job.
Production planning starts with quality. Our quality engineers work with engineering and manufacturing to design quality into the process. Each process step is evaluated for its potential impact and risk in terms per our AS-9100 compliant quality procedures, reducing part scrap and rework.
Intec production-process facilities include high temperature autoclaves, large vacuum ovens, VARTM, RTM, 3- and 5-axis CNC milling, and automated inspection equipment. Parts are manufactured from a variety of processes and materials including: epoxies, BMI, polycyanates, polyimides, thermoplastics, ceramics and metal matrix in laminate and sandwich forms.
