MANUFACTURING Rapid Prototyping and Tooling
Intec's Rapid Prototyping team produces short-run and one-off, flight-ready aerospace composite parts. The group also produces metal and composite tooling in support of our manufacturing team.
Prototyping
Our highly skilled and experienced machining group draws upon Intec's extensive knowledge of materials to select the best combination of materials, process and tooling for the project.
In general, the team uses low temperature or room temperature curing materials. This group has supported rapid prototyping of parts for UVA, satellite, marine, and sporting goods products.
Tooling
Intec tooling groups build both one-off and production tooling for RTM, press, vacuum oven, autoclave, and out-of-oven processes. Tools support temperatures from room temperature to 850°F, in tooling materials from foam to Invar.
Intec's machinists specialize in producing large mods and mandrels for composite fabrication, using the most advanced CAM software and years of experience to anticipate material response. This approach saves time and material by allowing virtual prototyping and the optimization and verification of tool paths.
