As an advanced materials center, Intec has the technology and expertise to perform highly accurate testing programs on advanced materials systems.
These systems include material and form categories such as thermosets, thermoplastics, metals, ceramics, and hybrids in forms including laminate, sandwich, braid and tube. Intec offers a wide range of testing types for these systems.
Intec's new state-of-the-art materials testing facility includes:
- New vibration-isolated, environmentally controlled space.
- Loads in excess of 2.5Mlbs, fatigue to 650kips.
- Digitally controlled multi-axis servo mechanical test frames.
- State-of-the-art data reduction analysis software.
- Hydraulic grips up to 30" wide, -200°F to 650°F capable.
- Instrumented impact, more than 1M pts/sec.
- Full physical, thermal and chemical properties laboratory.
- Environments: humidity, salt, cryogenic and elevated temperature.
- Data acquisition including over 500 channels of strain.
- Measurement techniques including shadow & inplane moiré, photoelasticity, eddy current, acoustic emission, in-situ & C-scan ultrasound, photography, microscopy, high speed video, strain gage, Krack gage, extensometers, and KGR1.
Our in-house manufacturing, machining and fixturing departments allow us to manufacture, tab and machine specimens, and design our own fixturing, including hydraulic grips. Intec can design, model and custom-build fixturing to meet your most rigorous testing needs.
Extensive experience with FAA certification programs allows us to guide you through certification from start to finish. From designing qualification plans to providing on-site DERs and DARs, we help clients achieve FAA certification quickly, with greater accuracy and at lower costs.
Our unique Web Based Test Monitoring (WBTM) allows clients to remotely monitor tests in real time, saving the expense and time of travel.
Intec testing reports contain extensive statistical analysis and comprehensive insights which explain unusual material responses. We provide our clients with the most accurate and complete information in the most useable form.
